Families are required to complete 30 hours of service time by the end of the school year. This works out to be less than 1 hour per school-week!
Parents are encouraged to set-up a schedule that will be easy to follow and that maintains a consistent pace. Parents who wait until the last minute cannot be guaranteed that service opportunities will be available. There is a $25 charge for each hour that is not completed by the stated deadline.
Service Hour Sign-Up Sheets are put out on Back To School Night in early September. Here are some of the service opportunities for parents:
COACHING MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTSSCHOOL BEAUTIFICATION
TEACHER ASSISTANCE IN THE CLASSROOM
SCIENCE FAIR JUDGING
ACSI SPEECH MEET JUDGES
ACSI SPELLING BEE JUDGES
WATCHD.O.G.S. (DADS OF GREAT STUDENTS)
B.E.A.R. WEEK ACTIVITIES
COMMUNITY SERVICE DAYS
“LASTING LEGACY TOURS”
Details for all service opportunities are available by stopping by the Development Office and talking to Mrs. Fredregill or Ms. Jones.
Reminder: When serving on campus, remember to report to the School Office first for a Volunteer Badge.
All service hours need to be logged-in on FAMILY LOG SHEETS located in the school office. Middle School students will record their 15 service hours (5 hours per trimester) in their classroom log books.
$500 in SCRIP Purchases = 1 Hour
Parents may also volunteer to sell Scrip in the mornings right on campus.
A $25/per hour fee will be assessed at the end of the year for any unfulfilled service hours.
Thank you … and Happy Serving!
