DAYS OF FINE ARTS

As a little girl or grown woman, did you ever dream of being a Princess or a Queen?  Would trying on Princess Diana's bracelet, or a necklace given to Queen Elizabeth when she was a 13 year old Princess, come close to making your dreams become a reality?  For students at King's Schools, those dreams, and more, can come true this Thursday and Friday through a very unique opportunity to hold fine art in their hands, thanks to a philanthropic organization (that prefers to remain anonymous) that loaned their art collection for two "Days of Fine Arts."  K-8 parents are invited to join their child's class (see schedule below) for this once-in-a-lifetime experience to see and hold rare, dated, and amazing pieces of art and treasured artifacts. Some of the items include:

  • Rare Leaf from Martin Luther’s Bible - 1545

  • Commercial Treaty Signed by King George IV - 1824

  • Pour Bernard, Pablo Picasso - 1954

  • Jewelry from a survivor of the Titanic

  • Ferdinand VII, King of Spain, Royal Birth Announcement - 1821

  • Faberge Silver-Gilt and Enamel Teaspoon - 1917

  • Rembrandt's etching of Peter and John Healing the Cripple at the Gate to the Temple - 1659

  • Facciuni's rendering of Vision of Saint Francis - 1590

  • Renoir’s Ball du moulin de la Galette - 1919

  • Life Mask of Ludwig Van Beethoven – Lot No. 30

  • Pasqualine's engraving of Christ Delivering Keys to Heaven to Peter - 1624

  • Photos and original documents of Presidential Inaugural Invitation, Watergate, Pardon of Richard M. Nixon

  • More

We are very grateful for this amazing opportunity to expose our students to the wonder of fine arts with the hope it will encourage them to appreciate and pursue their own God-given gifts and talents while also deepening their faith.  "He has made everything beautiful in its time.  He has set eternity in the human heart."  Ecclesiastes 3:11

We are also extremely appreciative to the organization who so generously made this experience possible for our school community.
